Let’s start with Exporting a Shipment. The process is simple and straightforward, requiring only a few key details to ensure a seamless shipping experience for you.
This includes the;
Pickup date: This is the date on which your product will be picked up.
Pickup Place: This is the location/country where your product will be picked up.
Pickup City: This is the City where your product will be picked up.
Address: This is where you enter the address for the product that will be picked up.
where you want your goods to be shipped. This includes the;
Destination place: This is the Continent to which you want to ship your product.
Country: This is the country to which you want to ship your product.
City: This is the city to which you want to ship your goods.
Address: This is the address where you want the product shipped.
Consignee: The recipient of the shipment is referred to as the consignee. Please enter the name here.
Consignee Phone Number: Enter the recipient’s phone number here.
Email address: This is where the email address of the recipient is entered.
For export shipments, please provide the following information.
Commercial invoice: Upload the commercial invoice for the goods being shipped here. In international transactions, this is a legal document issued by the seller to the buyer.
Shipment Reference Number: This could be a commercial Invoice / Bill of Lading number, a purchase order (PO) number, a customer number, a company name, or a phrase identifying the shipment.
Total Weight: The total weight of a shipment of goods, including packaging such as crates, pallets, etc.
Dimension / Size: This is the physical measurement of the goods. The length, width, and height are all included.
Arrival Date: This is the estimated date on which you want the shipment to arrive at your address.
Pallets / Stackable: You must choose between the two. Pallets are flat structures made of wood, plastic, or metal that are used to transport goods in a stable manner. Stackable, on the other hand, refers to the ability of the pallets to be easily and safely stacked on top of each other to maximize storage and shipping space.
Commodity: A raw material or finished product that is being shipped.
Types of goods: This is where you specify whether the goods being shipped are dangerous or non-dangerous. Dangerous goods are classified into nine classes based on the type of dangerous materials or items present. If the goods are dangerous, you must select one of the nine classes based on the product being shipped.
Refrigerated & Non-Refrigerated: Indicate whether the product being shipped is Refrigerated or Non-Refrigerated.
Shipping Mode: This is where you specify whether your goods will be shipped by air, water, or land.
Incoterms: A set of 11 internationally recognized rules that define the responsibilities of sellers and buyers. Incoterms define who pays for and manages the shipment, as well as who is responsible for insurance, documentation, customs clearance, and other logistical activities. You must select the best option that works best for you.
For import shipments, there are three additional fields to the above-mentioned ones. These include:
Commercial Products Cost: The cost of the product being shipped.
HS Code: This is a commodity code used by customs officers all over the world to categorize products. You can match it to the product you’re shipping by selecting from the options provided.
Shipping Option: In this section, you will specify whether you prefer door-to-door or port-to-door shipping.
