To lawfully enter foreign imports into a Rwanda’s Port Entry which can be AIR, LAND Or SEA you must obtain approval varying from merchandise to merchandise.

After purchasing your goods

The following documents are required for shipments

Please always check with the Destination Office prior to uplift.

 

  • Commercial Invoice  
  • Packing List 
  • Master Bill of Lading / House Bill of Lading
  • Master Air waybill  / House Air waybill
  • Certificate of analysis (Optional) 
  • Certificate of origin (Optional)
Choose your PREFERRED SHIPMENT ROUTING
TO ENSURE THAT SHIPMENTS ARE EXPEDITIOUSLY AND SECURELY MOVED, THE FOLLOWING ROUTINGS ARE TO BE FOLLOWED

By Sea shipment

Preferred Carriers are:

  • PIL
  • MAERSK
  • Safmarine,CMA CGM
  • MSC
  • Messina

By Air shipment

Preferred Carriers are:

  • Rwandair
  • Qatar
  • Ethiopia Airlines
  • KLM
  • BRUSSELS

After Shipment routing

And the following PROCESS is executed
THROUGH AIR SHIPMENT
  • The airline is responsible for transporting the shipment from the origin to the Magerwa warehouse  
  • Zest Logistics field personnel are responsible for offloading goods in the warehouse.  
  • The warehouse officer notifies Zest Logistics personnel of their arrival; 
  • Lodges customs entry/declaration;  
  • Submits exemption for approval (if applicable) or pays duties/taxes. 
  • Continued physical verification  
  • Customs officer issues release orders and approve documents 
  • Reserve a room for the exit note  
  • Assign a truck for loading  
  • Loading and delivery
And the following PROCESS is executed
THROUGH SEA SHIPMENT
  • The airline and the shipping line are responsible for transporting the shipment from the origin to the Magerwa(ICD) warehouse
  •  Zest Logistics field personnel are responsible for offloading goods in the warehouse  
  • The warehouse officer notifies Zest Logistics personnel of their arrival
  •  Lodges customs entry/declaration  
  •  Submits exemption for approval (if applicable) or pays duties/taxes. 
  •  Continued physical verification  
  •  Customs officer issues release orders and approve documents 
  •  Reserve a room for the exit note  
  •  Assign a truck for loading  
  •  Loading and delivery
